This is a list of frequently asked questions, or frequently encountered problems. Noting that almost everything is already covered by the manual, the answers here are intended to be supplements to the manual (rather than simply URLs to the relevant chapter).

Problems
- I've lost my root password.
- I created a user that can log in from other computers, but cannot log in from the same computer.
- Why is my query slow?
- I can't log in from anywhere or any remote location.
- Or, "Access Denied for user '@localhost'" errors.
- Slackware 9 or 10 and I can't start mysql because it stops right away.
- I've deleted the root user, and there's no other user with all privileges!
